Common faults, problems



Parts that apparently are common to break in this car after 100k miles:

- Windshield wiper fluid pump
- Windshield wiper rod linkage and motor
- Motor and transmission mounts
- Radiator and condenser fans
- Door lock actuators
- VTEC solenoid seal
- Power steering pump and pressure hose
- Front wheel hub bearings (haven't had to change rear ones yet)
- Upper/lower control arms and maybe ball joints, depending how tough of a life the car lived I guess
- Brake caliper bushings

O2 sensor

Starter

"My 2004 book says trans. fluid change @ 120,000 miles for normal driving, change @ 60,000 for severe. Honda revised it a few years ago to every 60,000 for all years. Several transmission shops have told me a drain & fill every 30,000 miles once you have established a base line. Generators go bad? (this car has run 16 500 - 16 999)
